I’ve mentioned this before, but since I recently saw something like this in a marketing video I thought I might as well share it here as well.

New marketers tend to get completely overwhelmed by the 100 and one things they need to do (or think they need to do) to be successful online. Sometimes it’s easier to simply break it down to simple pieces of info, so I thought I’d break down a few numbers and show you what it takes to earn $100,000 in a year as an information marketer on the Internet.

As you know, there are many different product forms you can choose from. You can sell ebooks, audio recordings, videos, webinars, seminars, e-classes, memberships and so forth. And of course you choose what you will charge.

So if your goal is to make $100,000, how much do you need to sell? Here’s a handy chart (numbers are rounded up)

Product Price Point Sales Per Year to Reach $100,000 Sales Per Month to Reach $100,000
$7.00 14286 1190
$27.00 3704 309
$47.00 2128 178
$97.00 1031 86
$197.00 508 43
$497.00 202 17

As you can see, earning $100,000 in Internet marketing is completely “doable” if you simply break it down to what needs to happen on a weekly basis. If you’ve got a product that sells for $7 to build your customer list and another one that sells for $197 on the backend, you only need to sell 43 of those backend products a month to break the $100,000 barrier. Fewer, actually, since you are also making the $7 sales.

As I said, it’s very doable, all you need is to have the right mindset and abilities to actually sit down and do it. Looking at it in this way makes it much more doable and easier to accomplish…
