I would guess by now that most online folk who know me realize I really love PLR stuff. There’s a ton of ways to earn money online but in my opinion, one of the best ways is to utilize PLR products. I’ve both produced and used PLR for years and there’s a reason for that, it’s because it works!!!
PLR is an acronym for Private Label Rights. If you’ve been involved with internet marketing for some time you’re probably already familiar with PLR content. If you aren’t familiar with it then it’s time you were because it’s one of the most useful products you can use.
PLR products include master resell rights, regular resell rights, source code rights, and just about every other right you can think of, you jut have to be careful you use the correct rights when utilizing your product.
It can be a tad confusing understanding what PLR rights mean and how they will affect your bottom line. For example, what does it mean when you get “resell rights?” What can you do with a PLR e-book with resell rights? Sadly there’s no official definition and there’s a lot of interpretation by many different people, This can make dealing with PLR content a bit frustrating but the key is to simply ask questions when unsure.
What this means is you must always read the license agreement associated with the product to get the specifics and understand exactly what rights you have or don’t have. Here are a handful of definitions more often in use you should find useful.
Basic Private Label Rights
This gives you the right to put your name as author or creator, and then resell the product. Sometimes you are able to claim copyright, but other times the copyright remains with the original owner. I always suggest with copyright and any of my PLR products that you can claim it if you’ve altered the product by at least 50%. (preferably more). I think it’s important if you’re selling the same PLR product to a number of people you insist they cannot claim copyright to your product unless it’s radically changed. It’s only fair to your other customers and to yourself.
The majority of PLR products allow you to change the product itself. For example with an e-book or article you can receive it as a Word .doc file and then alter it and save. If it comes as a PDF file you can convert it, make your changes, and then resave as a PDF file. There are lots of other uses with PLR stuff for instance you could change a report into a series of slides or videos. The limits are guided by your own skills and imagination.
Here you are allowed to resell the content or product and you are entitled to the money it generates. You will have to use the product as it is, though as you are not allowed to change it in any way.
Master Resell Rights
You can resell the content or product, plus you can sell others the rights to resell these products. In a few cases you may even be able to resell the master rights. Think long and hard before you sell these type of PLR with your own products though as you’ll find you lose all control of them plus they often lose their value very quickly as folks end up giving therm away and adding to free sites etc.
With branding rights you are permitted to put your name on the product then resell it. You can usually add an affiliate link if you wish. Master resell rights may or may not be included, again you would need to check carefully.
A lot of folks don’t get anything online using the excuse they don’t have a product. I say balderdash to that. there’s no excuse for not having a product when there is so much great PLR out there at sometimes ridiculously low prices.
Go grab yourself a bargain and get started…
