Happy New Year Everyone..

Ok Ok, I know I’m dreadfully late sending out seasonal greetings etc but I’ve been offline the last few weeks, with a stinky cold the week before Christmas and a crappy chest infection since the New Year. (I’ve been proper poorly).

To be honest I ended up putting my IM stuff on hold over Christmas and the New Year, instead concentrating on offline stuff such as my family and my nursing job.

You may have heard we’ve been having a few regular crises in the NHS with too many patients and not enough beds or staff, so it’s been pretty crazy at our hospital along with every other in the UK. I’ve been staggering in to work feeling like poo, getting through the day somehow then staggering home to bed. Bobby my husband did ask me at one point if I wanted turning so he could inspect me for bed sores, so I must have been spending a lot of time in there (oops).

I was also was busy with our local food bank Christmas week. We were able to organise a Christmas hamper extravaganza on the 22nd Dec where thanks to a few local business etc we were able to feed 100 families a full Christmas dinner plus treats etc. That was an awesomely busy day but well worth it to know we were able to help so many people have a decent Christmas.

I’m back on my feet again now and trying to get myself organised, I’ve got a lot of stuff planned for the next few months so I need to organise my time carefully. I’m busier now than I ever was when I worked full time at the hospital, in fact I sometimes wonder how I ever managed to have the time to work full time!!

We’ve also got a lot of exciting new stuff coming up especially with EasyMemberPro which is now under new management and is going to be undergoing a lot of changes. 🙂 (it’s going to have a completely different look quite soon)…

I’m still involved with EMP to some extent, but I’ve decided to take a back seat and let someone younger and much more dynamic run with it. (Seems to be doing a pretty good job with it so far).

Anyway, normal service is now resumed and I look forward to working with you all.
