Over the past few weeks I’ve been debating about getting into the freelance writing biz again.
I used to love writing. I wrote many of the articles for my health related membership sites back when I used to run them, though obviously I also employed a team of writers as well. (No way I could have written 400+ articles a month).
Myself and a partner, ghost wrote a couple of kindle books to best seller status a few years ago. I’ve also written many books for kindle and generally online both under my own name and a pseudonym.
I also had a nice little lucrative business, article and report writing for clients, and it paid really well. I gave it all up though when I went offline back in 2009 for a couple of years and I never picked it up again.
Just recently though I’ve been toying with the idea of starting my article writing career again. It was something I was good at, plus it would fit quite well with my lifestyle at the moment. Problem is though, I have absolutely no idea how much to charge clients nowadays.
What are you all paying your article writers?
As it’s quite a while since I did any writing gigs I had absolutely no idea how much to charge, so decided to start researching the web to see what the going rate is.
To be honest I’m still not sure where to go with pricing. I think I need to do a lot more research.
In the meantime, I found this article I thought any of you budding or (established) writers might be interested in. It’s given me some food for thought..
